Maison Blanche Hospital provides mental health care for a population area of over 880 000 inhabitants in the north-eastern section of the City of Paris, an area characterised by its cultural and creative diversity, but also with comparatively high levels of social housing and unemployment. Despite a small proportion of people living alone, the percentage of lone-parent and divorced families is high.

The large LGBTQI population plays a significant role in the local community. The Hospital employs 2,610 agents with 583 general psychiatric beds spread over 9 hospitalization sites. In 2017, some 26 700 people used our services, of whom 22,200 were adults and 4,500 children and adolescents.

Maison Blanche’s mission is not just limited to mental health care: research, training and dissemination of knowledge are integral parts of our development strategy.

Our policy of openness and partnership has favored the emergence of numerous projects of local and international cooperation in research and health organization.
